Pakistan has been in the developing stage for decades, and the availability of rare and authentic shoes has always been a problem. They are expensive, and sometimes arduous to acquire, unlike the local brands: those who are providing low-quality and counterfeit products.
Products that are counterfeit or knockoffs are capturing a good market share in the footwear industry, yet the alarming thing is that it is killing the value of the original product produced by the brand.
Dope Kicks came up with a solution in 2021 of providing pre-loved shoes; implying that the item was loved or slightly used by someone before being offered for resale. They are quality-graded just like new. The aim was to start with the basics e.g., daily life sneakers for college and university students, and expand into other demographics.
The key benefits of reusing the product are the sustainability of the environment and the provision of these pre-owned shoes helps the customers amuse themselves with only 20-40% of the product's original ‘retail price.
Once we are done with washing, we grade them into excellent (8.5-9) and premium (9.5-10) bands. The excellent band refers to the product having little sign of use and premium refers to almost new.
Keeping a healthy relationship with vendors for quality products
Once the product is acquired, we process it in our state-of-the-art washing facility, it is washed, deoxidized, and sanitized with isopropyl alcohol, hence our product is odorless and clean.
